Symptom
Recurrent UTI in women
ConsiderationsRichard Wasley, MDNo imaging may be necessary initially. Nonresponders to conventional therapy, those with frequent reinfections or relapses, or have suspected underlying risk factors (stones, possible fistula, etc) may need CT, MR or US.
CT can detect stones, diverticula, complications of bowel disease (i.e diverticulitis with fistula), abscess. MRI also appropriate, especially in pregnancy or if urethral diverticulum suspected.
