- Strengths
- no gadolinium usually required
- Limitations
- generally for high clinical suspicion. Standard TMJ xray series is less sensitive and specific, but still may be helpful in detection of arthritis and much cheaper.
- Contraindications
- Standard MR questionnaire as to contraindicated implanted devices, surgery, etc.
