C spine xray series

Strengths

useful in trauma. Can provide overview of disease, but often very non-specific and difficult to pinpoint site of cause of symptoms. MRI most helpful in chronic symptoms or neurologic signs.

Limitations

depending on clinical suspicion, CT spine may be more appropriate in acute trauma.
